An exceptional young cast and wonderfully inventive staging bolster Gary Owen's joyous update of JM Barrie's classic. With this year’s production of Peter Pan, Chester’s Storyhouse has created one of its best seasonal shows to date. With its outstanding, youthful cast and wonderful attention to detail from director Martin Constantine, it’s hard to see how this production could be improved on. Festive family theatre rarely gets better than this.

***** THE STAGE

As visualised by director Martin Constantine and designer April Dalton, the show is an awfully high adventure. Verbally and visually smart.

**** THE GUARDIAN

There are touches of supreme ingenuity from director Constantine and designer April Dalton especially when they transform the stage into a pirate ship by using little more than some rope, a big kite and a few plastic ball pools! Peter Pan makes it a hat-trick of happy Christmases for audiences young and old at Storyhouse so why not take flight and indulge in an eternal childhood - if only for a couple of hours.
